This is the 3rd (and final) part of the Pat Kenny Interview.

This interview has NEVER been shown again since it’s original broadcast.

Wendy sings live.

She denied she had been given a crash course in singing lessons.

Universal later claimed she had.

(However she is using classic “breathing and intonation” during the high notes so you decide…)

Wendy only sang that song 2 more times publically.

Not once in England.

Never in the US.

The audience look like they were just dug up from a local graveyard.

(The show is aimed almost entirely at “elderly viewers”)

This is STILL Wendy’s longest interview in 16 years…!

She was never invited back even when launching Racine.

Or her recent Irish gigs (2007)

Universal weren’t “paying” for her appearence this time

John Reynolds’ Pod Promotions (”Crawdaddy” owners) have no power on Irish tv..

(They “organised” the Hot Press and Irish Times interviews by calling in favours..)

But you do learn a hell of a lot.

She does of course speak about the “Costello” album.

and yep says it was “the best thing that ever could have happened to me”

This Part 1 of the infamous Pat Kenny Interview 1993 (Ireland)

Her responses and reactions seem VERY stage managed and measured.

As if she is conscious of Universal Executives watching her.

This interview was seen as a “dry run” for potentially bigger profile interviews through 1993.

Which were all cancelled when Wendy “bailed” in the Summer of that year.

“Now ain’t” was deleted from the Universal Catalogue in August 1993.

Wendy claims she was NOT “coached” by Universal Records.

To seem “better” in this interview.

Universal seem to be less positive.

“Obviously we didn’t want her putting her foot in her mouth again,did we?”

Universal “source” 1994 (guess who?)

Wendy says the people in Transvision Vamp are her “best friends and still are”

She would have seen this video endless times…

(and it doesn’t change…there was no “directors cut” of it for instance….with added CGI..)

So her “excitement and joy” is so obviously pre-prepared and fake.

Just a little performance for the Canadians….

She also wrote Born to Be Sold apparently.

This is the 2nd (and final) part of the J Ross Interview 1991

This was done BEFORE the “Face” photos were published.

Despite Wendy’s fake and obvious smiles through this interview.

She is VERY uncomfortable.

Jonathan Ross knows this and has great fun taking the “piss” out of her.

Notice her slightly pathetic “looks” toward the audience and camera every so often.

She wishes she was a million miles away from there and it shows SO clearly.

Her smile is so fake it should be make from plastic.

She is so relieved at the end of the interview she cannot let go of Ross’ hand…

Jonathan Ross recently (last year) signed a £18 million contract with the BBC in England.

Wendy did not.

Wanted For Crimes Against Hair……

This was a classic example of the “Lorraine Kelly” Knifing.

Lorraine was the interviewer and often used her seemingly nice “mumsy” friendlyness

To stick the knife in DEEP into her “victims”

Having lulled them into a false sense of security.

Here she clearly thinks Wendy is yer typical attention seeking tabloid whore.

Who gets exactly what she deserves from the nasty newspapers.

Wendy looks EXTREMELY uncomfortable.

Lorraine enjoys herself torturing her with her snidey remarks to the audience at home…

People said Wendy Was like A Bike…..Allegedly

It went into your manager’s pocket…!

Including a potential Harley Davidson one.

In the 1990’s Universal (US) were found “guilty” of trying to bribe radio deejays.

By giving them “gifts” of Harley Davidsons.

Trying to get around “Payola” rules which forbid direct payment for airplay.

Payola is 100% illegal in America and is very strictly enforced.

Universal denied the charges….for about 25 seconds.

(a Universal executive had signed the receipts for the bikes…whoops!)

Then admitted their guilt and were fined millions.

and all the artists who got “freebie” airplay got those deducted from payments.

Racine have not been  flooded with sponsorship.

Although Wendy will be your “friend” for 50 bucks.

Notice how MTV (Europe) just simply quote word for word from the official press release.

Completely robotically..

But then again so does Wendy.

Bubble Of Babble has already been “rescheduled” in England.

But because of a loophole (now closed by Universal) it could be released separately in other countries.

Wendy did NOT return to England until November to avoid the press backlash.

She later claimed she did not read any magazine or newspapers for 2 months to avoid what they were saying.

Transvision Vamp played their last gig in San Diego.
